ISLAMABAD, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was seriously wounded in Thursday's explosion at an election rally for her in Rawalpindi, party official said.
Geo-TV quoted Bhutto's husband as saying that she is in critical situation.
A suspected suicide blast occurred at an election campaign rally for Bhutto at the Liaquat Bagh park in Rawalpindi, some 30 km south from Islamabad, killing at least ten people, said the state-run PTV in its latest news.
However, a private TV, ARJ, reported that at least 20 were killed and another 42 were injured in the blast.

The powerful explosion occurred shortly after Bhutto, leader o fthe Pakistan People's Party left the rally at the Liaquat Bagh park in Rawalpindi, some 30 km south from Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- At least four supporters of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were killed Thursday when unidentified gunmen fired at his party's procession in the outskirts of Islamabad, local press reports said.
Sharif, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), was due to address election rallies in the eastern Pakistani city of Rawalpindi, some 30 kms south from Islamabad.
