Hohhot, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Traditional Chinese medical experts in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region are going to cross the border to treat Russian patients at the end of April, a health official of Manzhouli in the region said.

The project is among a series of activities between Russia's Irkutsk and Manzhouli, China's leading inland port on the China-Russia border, after the two cities signed an agreement on medical cooperation last November, said Li Xia, director of the health department of Manzhouli.

The agreement said Manzhouli's Chinese-Mongolian Hospital can send traditional medial experts to Irkutsk. "It will be the first official visit for Manzhouli's herbalist doctors to Russia," Li said.

At the end of April, people in Irkutsk can receive traditional Chinese medical treatment, such as acupuncture, electric stimulation and massage therapy, as well as Mongolian medical treatment.

Chinese doctors will bring along various booklets, medical records and VCDs with Russian dubbing on Chinese herbal medicines.
