ISS astronauts celebrate Christmas

Crew members at the International Space Station celebrated Christmas with a meal of smoked turkey with cornbread dressing and candied yams.

Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko, American astronaut Peggy Whitson and Japanese-American astronaut Dan Tani wished all people on Earth a happy Christmas.

Tani said he missed his family but he would have fun floating in space.

Malenchenko said it was a special moment for him. He says he is looking forward to presents arriving at the space station. And Whitson wished everybody a happy holiday season.
