Operating team for Olympic Village

Most of them are going to stay in the Olympic Village. It's the living complex reserved exclusively for athletes and accompanying officials. We head there right now to look at just how ready this village is for its residents.

The Olympic Village lies in the northern area of Beijing, just north of the National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest.

The village has 2000 apartments that can accommodate about 13 thousand athletes.

Each apartment is equipped with broad-band Internet, an infrared theft-proof alarm system and a very high tech fingerprint lock system. Hot water is provided by solar-power. Most importantly, the beds are lengthened so that the tall athletes will enjoy good sleep during the Games.
