Less rent, more mobility

A Hong Kong designer has come up with a tricycle which doubles as a small home. It's designed to combat cramped and expensive living conditions in the Special Administrative Region.

Hong Kong homes are among the most expensive, small and cramped in the world. Many people live in tiny flats in tall buildings. House prices and rents have skyrocketed in the past several years.

But there's no need to commute when you have this "house".

The shiny hut on the back of the black tricycle measures 3 foot by 4 foot, but comes with a slanted roof, a door and a window.

Designer Kacey Wong said, "I was thinking about Hong Kong's living conditions. It's very crowded and for the amount we're paying, we get very little space. Sometimes we open the window and we're seeing a window right next to us. So I was thinking, how can we live freely in this city and go as you please and change the scenes every time you open the window."
