Pictures taken by old fashioned cameras and film remain familiar to Chinese people. In the past, the precious history and numerous memory fragments were recorded on old photographs. Let's take a close look at the just opened First Chinese Family Old Pictures Exhibition in Beijing.

The theme of the exhibit is "Family". The 1000 photos are collected from nearly 10 thousand families all around the nation. The earliest picture was taken in 1898. Each of the family members on the photos tell their respective happiness and bitterness in different eras. Most of the visitors are seniors . They say they read the history from the exhibits

Visitor, said, "Pictures of my family are on display too. You see, it was taken in 1945, when the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression ended."
