NASA remembered the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia in a memorial service at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Friday.
Five years ago, the space shuttle Columbia disintegrated over Texas, killing all seven crew members.
It happened on February 1st, 2003, just sixteen minutes before the shuttle would have landed.
An investigation revealed a suitcase-sized piece of insulating foam had ripped away from Columbia during launch and punched a hole in the left wing.
During re-entry, super-hot gases entered the wing and to melted it. Those who attended the memorial service say they will always miss the crew.
