World champions Wang Feng and Qin Kai have emerged with the first gold medals at the "Good Luck Beijing" FINA Diving World Cup. The Chinese duo topped the points table in the men's three-meter springboard synchronized final.

Wang Feng and Qin Kai had finished in first place during qualifications, and they found themselves in second after three dives on Tuesday's final match. They then took the lead with a perfect fourth dive, and finally jumped off the platform to take gold. They racked up the highest points of the night--44 points more than second-placed Dmitry Sautin and partner Yuriy Kunakov of Russia.

2007 runners-up Alexandre Despatie and Arturo Miranda of Canada took bronze this time.
