Speaking of colourful attire. Love and marriage were in the air - as the National Wedding Show in London, rolled out the latest in what's hot and what's not - for those intending to tie the knot.

The perfect wedding is still the dream of almost every young girl. Here on the catwalk at the National Wedding Show is a lot to make the Big Day just so.

Couples spend an average of $22,000 USD on their big day in the UK. Experts say people still want to splash out on their wedding day.

Thea darricotte, executive retail editor, Bride magazine, said, "People are beginning to express themselves a lot more. People are spending more on average per year on weddings than ever before. They're waiting longer.The average engagement of our readers is eighteen months and as a result of this they have a long time to really think about what they want, to save up and really go for it, go for an event that they think is really going to express themselves as a couple."

And there's plenty to keep wedding costs mounting, at the exhibition. The Wedding Show offers everything from rings to make-up, accessories, shoes, flowers and cars. And there are agents on hand to help the soon-to-be-weds book the Honeymoon.
