Greece ready for lighting ceremony

Greece is in its full wings for the Olympic Flame Lighting Ceremony, a Hellenic Olympic Committee official said on Monday.

The HOC has ensured all the requirements for a perfect but modest ceremony. The event on March 24th, will attract more than 400 journalists worldwide to the birth place of the modern Olympics.

Greek state-run TV station ERT will take charge of the production of TV signals.

The official said uncertain weather conditions would be the biggest obstacle for the ceremony, but the organizers will do their best to ensure its success.
