We start with the on-going torch relay in Greece. After leaving Veria, the Olympic flame will pass through five other northern towns.
Day 4 of the journey started quickly from Veria. A handball player served as the first torchbearer of the day. In an effort to keep in line with the concept of a humanistic Olympics and spread the Olympic spirit, HOC officials arranged for some disabled athletes to pass the flame. The second torchbearer was one of them. The torch relay on Thursday is set to last for ten hours and a half, the longest so far in Greece.
