Train crash victims hospitalized

All those injured in the train collision are being treated in hospitals in Zibo city. Local authorities say they're in stable condition.

Over 100 ambulances sped to the site immediately after the accident. All the 416 injured have been hospitalized.

A injured passenger said, "I feel much better now, I can even walk."

A family member of injured passenger said, "I feel very sad about the accident, and I am grateful for what the hospital has done."

Hospitals are doing whatever they can to treat the injured.

Liu Changwei, president of Jinan NO. 148 Military hospital,said, "In order to help the victims recover as soon as possible, we have set up an expert panel to give suggestions for medical treatment. Experts from Beijing have also been invited to come."

The number of injuries has put on strain on blood supplies in Zibo city. Local residents are coming in to donate.

Zibo resident Gong Shiqiang said, "I called my colleagues immediately after I heard about the blood shortage. Over twenty people responded to my call. Later I posted a notice on the Internet, and more donors have come."

The shortage has been alleviated.

The military forces deployed in Shandong Province also played an important role. Nearly 2,000 soldiers and militiamen participated in rescue work, aided by high-tech communication equipment.
