No overseas people killed in Sichuan quake

Local authorities say no foreigners, or compatriots from the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, have been reported dead in the 8.0 magnitude earthquake in Southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The Sichuan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office says by Friday morning, about 450 foreigners from 21 countries as well as compatriots from the Hong Kong and Macao S.A.R.'s had been rescued and transferred to safe places.
