HK children raise funds for Sichuan

Kindergarten children in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have held a fund-raising gala, ahead of Children's Day, to raise funds for young survivors of the Sichuan earthquake.

There were performances including singing, dancing and martial arts. Spectators made donations and also wrote supportive messages on cards to be sent to children affected by the quake.

Three-thousand Hong Kong children also staged an eight-hour music marathon Saturday afternoon to raise more funds.
