KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, April 5 (Xinhua) -- A prosecutor sustained injuries as a bomb targeted his car in Kunduz city, the capital of Kunduz province, on Sunday, police said.

"A bomb blast organized by militants struck the car of Abdul Qadir, a prosecutor in Kunduz city, at around 09:00 a.m. local time today, badly injuring him," police spokesman in the province, Sayed Sarwar Hussiani told Xinhua.

It was a sticky bomb and went off when the prosecutor was going to the provincial Governor House, the official added.

However, locals at the site said that two persons were badly injured in the blast.

Taliban militants fighting the government have yet to claim responsibility.
