í@ MANILA, Jan. 25(Xinhuanet)-- The Philippine House Committee on Foreign Affairs Tuesday approved two resolutions urging Japan to provide a compensation package for the"comfort women" in the country and demanding that Japan publicly apologize for the atrocities it did in the Philippines during the Second World War.

hilippine comfort women and the other resolution seek to urge the House of Representatives to provide full support to the compensation bill filed by Senator Shoji Matooka of the Democratic Party of Japan to give justice to the Filipino women who were bastardized by the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II, the Philippines News Agency reported.
Lila-Pilipina, Inc., an organization of"comfort women", asked the Philippine government to send a delegation to the Japanese government to provide support to the Matooka bill which already gained support from South Korean lawmakers.
Narcisa Claveria, a member of the group, also asked the Emperorof Japan to give a public apology with regards to the atrocities their country did during the Second World War.
