JAKARTA, June 6(Xinhuanet)-- Thirty-seven kinds of Indonesian food and drink products have been rejected by the United States for not meeting the import requirement of the US government, the Bisnis Indonesia daily reported Monday.

The Food and Drug Administration(FDA) of the United States on its official website said the products include processed milk, food, drinks, fish, toothpaste, syrup, gelatin powder, health products and glove.

It said the reason of the rejection includes"dirty material, low quality and label problem with the products."

There is also not anyway to find the usage and the composition in English of the products, according to the website.

Chairman of Indonesia's Businessmen Union for Food and Drinks(GAAPMI) Thomas Dharmawan said the products were not directly exported by the manufacturers here, but maybe by those who bought products in domestic market.

"Of course they would repair when there is a warning of rejection, if the exporters were manufacturers," he added, noting that when there was a warning, the union would ask the trade ministry to tell the exporters to make repairs. Enditem
