Anti-dumping investigation launched on imported PBT resin

BEIJING, June 6(Xinhuanet)-- China announced Monday that it launched anti-dumping investigation Monday on PBT resin imported from Japan and China's Taiwan.

The Ministry of Commerce said in an announcement that it received application from the Nantong Xingcheng Synthetical Material Co. Ltd. on anti-dumping investigation. After examining the qualifications of the company and its application, the ministry decided to launch the investigation.

PBT Resin, also called Polybutylene Terephthalate Resin, is used in auto manufacturing, telecommunications, textile and equipment and instrument manufacturing.

The ministry said that the investigation will decide whether the imported products from the areas constitute dumping and, if so, will confirm the scale of dumping.

The investigation will conclude before June 6, 2006, but may beextended until December 6, 2006 under certain conditions, according to the announcement. Enditem
