BEIJING, Oct. 28(Xinhuanet)-- In the first three quarters of this year, the volume of Chinese exports involved in foreign trade disputes totaled 8.9 billion US dollars, Economic Information Daily quoted an official with the Ministry of Commerce as saying on Friday.

Wang Qinhua, director of the Industry Damage Investigation Bureau under the Ministry of Commerce, made the remarks recently in Zhengzhou, capital city of central China's Henan Province.

By the end of 2004, foreign countries and regions altogether launched 691 anti-dumping investigations against exported Chinese goods, Wang said.

Developing countries are increasing their investigations against Chinese goods, and many new-type of trade barriers have been set up to block import from China, Wang said.

These trade disputes target not only at the prices of Chinese products, but also at China's economic systems, Wang added. Enditem
