BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- A total of 48 Chinese companies have listed in London Stock Exchange market, said Alderman David Brewer, Lord Mayor of the City of London, in Beijing on Wednesday. Brewer, who is heading a 65-member business delegation for a ten-day visit to China, said more and more Chinese companies choose to list in London, with the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange especially welcomed by some Chinese companies. Among the 48 Chinese companies, six companies are listed in the main market of London Stock Exchange, including Air China, SINOPEC Corp, Jiangxi Copper, said Jane Zhu, head of Asia Pacific of the London Stock Exchange, a member of the business delegation. Zhu said the rest 42 companies are all listed in the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, registering a total market value of 4.1 billion U.S. dollars. She said that in the future, the London Stock Exchange will organize more promotion activities in China so as to attract more Chinese companies. Brewer and his party arrived in Beijing on Tuesday.
