Law firm poised to play key role in expanding U.S.-China business ties

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- In its effort to play a key role in the ever expanding business and commercial activities between the United States and China, the Law Offices of Steve Qi &Associates opened a new office here on Thursday.

The Law Offices of Steve Qi & Associates (LOSQA) are "uniquely positioned" to meet the demand of globalization, the LOSQA said ina press release.

"As the world becomes an ever shrinking place, globalization is inevitable given the unprecedented rate of integration, interfacing, and interaction between countries," said the release. "East meets the west is no longer an easy concept to define. The bridging of cultures, however, is an even tougher task."

The relocation and grand opening of LOSQA, one of the most prominent law firms in the Chinese community in Alhambra, Los Angeles, has set a milestone to the local legal community.

The past ten years or so have seen the phenomenal economic development in China and a huge increase in US.-China trade and businesses, the release said.

"Nowhere in the U.S. has felt the impact of such an increased commercial relationship than Los Angeles, a city that links this side of the Pacific Ocean to the other. This area has also seen a huge increase of businesses from China, both through trade and direct and indirect investment."

The law firm's immigration practice has long enjoyed unparalleled reputation among local Chinese community and nationwide.

The firm has handled a great number of L-1 multi-national executive visas to facilitate Chinese corporations to do business here, according to the release.

The unprecedented economic development in China for the past 10years has seen a great number of entrepreneurs from China coming to the U.S. to do business here.

In addition, investor's visa has become an ever popular vehicle for Chinese entrepreneurs to immigrate to the United States.
