GM posts quarterly loss of 39 billion dollars

CHICAGO, Nov 7, 2007 (AFP) -- General Motors on Wednesday posted a loss of 39 billion dollars for the third quarter on a massive accounting charge, even as it cited some improvement in its global automotive operations.
