DUBAI, Nov 14, 2007 (AFP) - Hong Kong's C Jet has signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus to buy the first VIP-configured A350 (Extra Wide Body) aircraft, the European aircraft manufacturer said Wednesday.

The aircraft, known as the Prestige, will feature a cabin made to C Jet's own specifications, the statement said.

"With orders for the Airbus A350XWB already flooding in from airlines, the addition of our first VIP version is welcome news," Airbus sales chief John Leahy said, without giving further details.

On Monday at the Dubai air show, Saudi Arabian billionaire Prince Walid Bin Talal ordered an Airbus A380, making him the first private buyer of the next generation super jumbo aircraft.

The purchase price was not revealed, but the mammoth plane has a catalogue price of 320 million dollars. It will be delivered to Prince Walid in 2010.
