Chinese shares open higher after Wall Street rally

BEIJING, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares prices gained ground at Thursday's opening following the Wall Street's rally overnight.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, opened up 67.47 points, or 1.4 percent, at 4,870.86.

Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 331.01 points, or 2.55 percent, at 13,289.45.
