China raises minimum purchasing prices of rice, wheat to offset rising costs for farmers

BEIJING, March 28 (Xinhua) -- China raised its minimum purchasing prices of rice and wheat, the second such move this year to spur grain production and offset rising costs for farmers, the State Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said on Friday.

The first price increase this year was on February 8.
