China's industrial output up 16.4 percent in first quarter

BEIJING, April 16 (Xinhua) -- China's industrial production rose 16.4 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2008. The increase was 1.9 percentage points lower than that in the same period of 2007, said the National Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday.
