Chinese share prices rose Thursday morning as falling crude oil prices boosted market sentiment, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers A and B shares, rose 46.35 points, or 1.71 percent, to 2,752.22 at 09:55 am (0155 GMT).
The Shanghai A-share index was up 48.68 points, or 1.72 percent, to 2,886.78, while the Shenzhen A-share index gained 11.37 points, or 1.34 percent, to 858.55 points.
