BEIJING, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares snapped the uptrend of the previous trading day and ended 1.55 percent lower on Friday, inheriting Wall Street losses overnight and an oil price rebound.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.55 percent or 45.19 points, finishing at 2,865.1 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 9,923.16 points, down 0.83 percent, or 82.83 points.
Combined turnover shrank to 98.33 billion yuan (about 14.4 billion U.S. dollars) from 116.2 billion yuan on Thursday.
