Chinese shares open slightly higher

BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares opened slightly higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.25 percent to 2076.62 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index rose 0.61 percent to open at 7742.67 points.
