China's NASDAQ-style Growth Enterprise Board (GEB) is launched at 15:15 today in Shenzhen in south China, according to xinhuanet.com.

The GEB launch ceremony will last for about one hour, after which the listing applications of the first batch of 28 companies will be reviewed.

GEB stock trading is to begin on Oct 30.
