Stocks jumped on Thursday, with major indexes rising more than 2 percent in a broad-based bounce following the previous session's sell-off and after confirmation of solid China export data.
* The Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI) soared 226.04 points, or 2.28 percent, to 10,125.29. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index (.SPX) jumped 24.77 points, or 2.35 percent, to 1,080.46. The Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC) climbed 44.28 points, or 2.05 percent, to 2,203.13.
