Wall Street opens flat after run-up

NEW YORK  - Stocks opened little changed on Monday after equities posted their best week in a month as the euro zone debt crisis and the economy showed signs of stabilizing.

The Dow Jones industrial average slipped 4.47 points, or 0.04 percent, at 12,716.01. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index shed 0.14 points, or 0.01 percent, at 1,315.24. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 0.63 points, or 0.02 percent, at 2,786.07.
