The Dow Jones industrial average was down 26.34 points, or 0.20 percent, at 12,828.70. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 2.16 points, or 0.16 percent, at 1,355.83. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 9.08 points, or 0.31 percent, at 2,942.72.
