BEIJING, Jan. 9(Xinhuanet)-- Four Kuomingtang members from Taiwan arrived here Sunday afternoon for discussion of chartered flights in the upcoming Spring Festival across the Taiwan Strait.
Chen Yunlin, director of the Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China(CPC) Central Committee, will meet with the group.
The group, including Tseng Yung-chuan, John Chang, Chu Feng-chiand Chang Jung-kung, said at the airport that they received calls from Taiwan businessmen and their relatives, asking them to make efforts for the operation of charted flights in the Spring Festival, a Chinese festive occasion for family reunion.
They said that they hoped to talk with relevant departments on the mainland so as to provide help for the business community.
China's Spring Festival, beginning of a new year in China's traditional lunar calendar, is to fall on Feb. 9 this year.
