HANGZHOU, Feb. 1(Xinhuanet)-- Sun Zhonghuan is elected mayor of the city government of Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, Tuesday at the third plenary of the fifth session of the city's 10th municipal people's congress.

Sun has been vice mayor and acting mayor of Hangzhou since its appointment by the 17th meeting of the 10th municipal people's congress on April 30, 2004.
