LHASA, Feb. 28(Xinhuanet)-- An avalanche, which occurred Sunday night in the Nyalam county of Tibet Autonomous Region, southwest China, blocked the No. 318 National highway, but no casualties were reported, said sources from the county.

The local government has sent out emergency teams to clear the road so as to resume the transport by Tuesday afternoon, said Oulaqiong, deputy head of the county's government.

Block happened between the county and Zhangmu, a port on the China-Nepal border.
