XI'AN, March 3(Xinhuanet)-- Zoo administrators are seeking a method to drive away weasels, which have killed five of the zoo's birds and left others traumatized.

The weasels have made frequent raids on birds fed by the Yingyuanhu Zoo on the outskirts of northeastern city of Hanzhong in recent evenings, left four guinea fowls and one golden pheasantdead or missing, said Zhou Xinhu, an official of the zoo, built last year.

"Some blue peacocks have been bitten to baldness, and others are frightened and spreading their tails day and night," Zhou said.
