Cambodia backs China's Anti-Secession Law

PHNOM PENH, March 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen expressed support on Monday for the Anti-Secession Law adoptedby China's National People's Congress on the same day.

He said that considering the realistic and the profound historic significance of the reunification cause of China, Cambodia firmly supports any action and measure that China takes on the Taiwan issue.

The Cambodian government also released a statement, saying the law is a legislative action aiming to protect the core interests of the nation, and is therefore justified and conforms with international norms.

The government expressed its belief that China will surely achieve the goal of reunification of the nation.
