China signs satellite purchase deal with French

BEIJING, April 21(Xinhuanet)-- China signed Thursday a deal with French company Alcatel for the import of a satellite, which will be used for the live TV broadcast of sports programs during the 2008 Olympic Games to be hosted in Beijing.

Under the deal, the satellite is expected to be launched in July 2007. Enditem
