HOHHOT, April 22(Xinhuanet)-- Continuing landslides have interrupted the rescue of three buried miners in the northern suburbs of Hohhot, capital of the north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, said local police source Friday.
The landslide occurred at about 11:40 a.m. Thursday in the valley of Daqingshan Mountain in the northern suburbs of Hohhot, when six miners were working in a quarry. Three of them were buried with the landslide and the other three fled from the accident scene, the local police source said.
The rescue work has been halted by continuing landslides and frequent cave-in at the scene, said a geologist. Enditem
