BEIJING, July 2-- The rock concert"The Peaceful Sky" was staged at Beijing's Worker's Stadium Friday night, to celebrate the 60 anniversary of the Victory in the World War II.

Chinese godfather of rock Cui Jian leaded other rocker singers such as Zheng Jun and Gao Qi to performed old Chinese songs from the 1930s and 1940s, blended with rock and heavy metal.

Cui Jian said that he has had a deep hatred of fascism since childhood and he was happy see that the spirit of rock music triumphed in this concert.

Paul Wong, member of Hong Kong popular rock band Beyond, also showed his supports with two of the band's most famous songs"Guerilla" and"The Earth".
