2 more cases of pig-borne disease reported in Sichuan

BEIJING, Aug. 4(Xinhuanet)-- Two more cases of a pig-borne endemic were reported in southwest China's Sichuan Province as of 12:00 a. m. Thursday, but no death was reported, according to the Chinese Ministry of Health.

The two cases found between 12 a.m. Wednesday and 12 a.m. Thursday showed symptoms of swine streptococosis II on July 28 and 31 respectively, said the ministry in a latest report posted on its website.

Three people were discharged from hospital during the period and no death was reported.

The ministry said 141 people still stay in hospital for medicaltreatment and 15 of them are in critical condition. Enditem
