BEIJING, Aug. 19(Xinhuanet)-- The State Council, or China's central government, has appointed new officials.

Zhang Ping, Wang Jinxiang and Du Ying were appointed as vice ministers of the State Development and Reform Commission.

Chen Qiufa andJin Zhuanglong were appointed as vice ministers of Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.

Sun Qin was appointed as vice minister of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and director of the China Atomic Energy Agency.

Jiang Fan was appointed vice minister of the State Commission for Population and Family Planning.

Hu Xiaolian was appointed vice governor of the People's Bank of China.

Meanwhile, Liu Jiang and Li Zibin were relieved of their posts as vice ministers of the State Development and Reform Commission. Zhang Huazhu was relieved as vice minister of Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and directorof China Atomic Energy Agency.

Zhang Weimin and Zhang Guangqin were removed from office as vice ministers of Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.

Xiao Jie was removed as vice minister of Finance and Zhao Bingli as vice minister of State Commission for Population and Family Planning.

Jiang Zuqi and Du Jian were relieved of their posts as directors of the Board of Supervisors for Key State-Owned Financial Organizations. Enditem
