BEIJING, Oct. 17(Xinhuanet)-- The Chinese version of"Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince", or Harry Potter VI, has been selling well across China.

People started to queue up for the Chinese-version at the Beijing Book-building at Xidan in early hours of Saturday, the first day when the Chinese version of Harry Potter VI hit the market.

Twelve Xidan Beijing Book-building outlets sold 8,058 copies of the book in the first day.

Sources from the Book Mall of Shanghai also said Harry Potter fans in this oriental metropolis lost no time in queuing up at the Shanghai Book Mall and getting the copies, in simplified Chinese, over the weekend, many of whom sported Harry Potter clothes.

A total of 3,000 copies were sold out at the Shanghai Book Mallon the first day.

The English version of the latest Harry Potter book was released globally in July. Enditem
