Death toll rises to 32 in Hebei gypsum mine collapse

SHIJIAZHUANG, Nov. 9(Xinhuanet)-- The death toll rose to 32 in agypsum mine accident in Xingtai, a city in north China's Hebei Province, on Wednesday, according to the local government.

Four people are still missing, 33 others injured and 65 have been rescued, according to the rescue headquarters.

The accident occurred at around 7:40 p.m. on Sunday at a gypsum mine in Shangwang Village in Huining Township of Xingtai. The collapse affected two gypsum mines nearby, causing the collapse of many residential houses around the two mines. Enditem
