KUNMING, April 16(Xinhua)-- A resurging forest fire in southwest China's Yunnan Province Firemen have a meal in the Cimeige Forest in Yulong County, southwest China's Yunnan Province, April 15, 2006. The fire broke out at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday in Cimeige of Yulong County. It was almost put out on Saturday morning, but flared up again with strong winds Saturday afternoon. About 1,000 people, including soldiers and armed police, took part in the fight to quench the resurging fire, which lasted about 11 hours. More than 3,000 people were mobilized to check the site to prevent possible fire resurging, the headquarters said. Another forest fire in the same province, which broke out Friday afternoon near a scenic spot in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, has also been put under control by Sunday noon, policesources said. No casualties have been reported in the two fires. Investigation into their causes is under way.
