China sets deadline for total recall of suspect killer antibiotic injection

BEIJING, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- China's national drug watchdog said on Thursday that all suspect "Xinfu" antibiotic injection, which allegedly had caused six deaths in the country, must be recalled before Aug. 31.

The State Food and Drug Administration required the drug's manufacturer, Anhui Huayuan Worldbest Biology Pharmacy Co., to recall before the deadline all the "Xinfu" antibiotic injection it produced in June and July. Enditem
