China's top legislature expels three members

BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Standing Committee of Nationa lPeople's Congress, or the national legislature, expelled two members here Sunday for economic crimes and another for hit-and-run in a car accident.

The resignation of Zhu Junyi, Zhou Jinhuo and Huang Xuejiu as deputies to the National People's Congress (NPC) was approved by the NPC Standing Committee at the end of its latest six-day legislative session. Enditem
