Top advisor Jia visits Beijing art show

BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin visited an art show in the Palace Museum here Sunday.

Jia, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and also chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, visited the exhibition of over 40 paintings by famous Chinese painter Wu Guanzhong.

The paintings on show include Wu's donations to art museums in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and the Palace Museum.

The 87-year-old artist is known to have donated over 100 art masterpieces to the state.

The exhibition will last till Sept. 10. Enditem
