Chinese special envoy to attend late Tongan King's funeral

BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Vice Minister of Commerce Liao Xiaoqi left here Saturday for Tonga as special envoy of Chinese President Hu Jintao to attend the funeral of late Tongan King Taufa' ahau Tupou IV.

The Tongan king died on September 11 in New Zealand at the age of 88. The state funeral will be held next Tuesday in Tonga. Enditem
